Should I be paying 90 dollars plus ta for the new Nike Pegasus? WTF? I can't find them any cheaper in my area. I have never paid this much for them in 10 years of distance running? What do I do?

1. Ebay
2. Different Shoe
Last years model perhaps? I'm running in them right now. Dick's had them for 64.99$
I bought 2 pairs of the Pegasus 27 for $19.99 at the Nike outlet. They were being sold for $69.90 and then the next week I find them I the sale shelf for $24.97 plus they were discounted anoth 20%. 2 paris for < $43 with tax, you can't beat that. I will wait until the 29's come out and then but the 28's at the outlet. Why one would spennd full price for running shoes is beyond me. BTW, the 27's are very comfortable.

I looked everywhere in my area for the Pegasus, and I could only find the newest model in my size (9), which is a very common size. It was priced at 90 dollars everywhere. I live 5 and a half hours from the closest Nike outlet. I wanted to support a store that caters soecifically towards runners, so I bit the bullet and paid 90 for them and wanted to punch the saleswoman, who clearly wasn't a runner, in the face. I feel dirty.
You can still call any NIKE Store(Clearance or Factory) and they will ship them to you. Call 1-800-806-6453(Cusotmer Service) with Product code 443805 and they will search which stores have them for you. I've been running in them for 15 years and never have issues finding them cheap. I hope this helps.
Sorry that was the product code for 28. 396041 is the product code for 27.

Prices go up every year, get used to it... The new ones have always been $80+, you think they're gonna just stay at that price as new models come out? Of course not, Nike (and every other shoe company) raises prices by a few bucks on a regular basis as newer models come out.
online.
Tell you what - when I make my way to the Outlet to buy another pair I'll bump this thread. Or - just post your email here (create a fake one/temporary one) and I'll hook you up. My local outlet usually sells them for $50.
90 bucks for shoes sucks. But IMO, these are the best neutral shoe that nike puts out. I ran in the 27s last year and really liked them. But the 28s for me are perfect. They even lasted longer than some other trainers that are upwards of 130 dollars.
The only place you might find them cheap right now is nike.com when a color gets discontinued. A couple of my teammates got them for around 60 bucks, but they were crazy colors like bright green, purple, etc.
