Anyone seen one of these? I'm anxiously awaiting news of whether or not this is a watch that's worth the $99.

Can you download the data to your PC?
Still no news on tis. I had heard Oct 7th was the release date.

Yes.
I've been happy with my Soleus 262, doesn't look too bad.
It's available at www.soleusrunning.com!
Anyone use it as yet. I don't want to buy without hearing from someone else who has testdriven it.
I work at a running store, so I messed around with it briefly today. I didn't actually use it on a run, so I can't comment about that but for the price it seems very good. Although you can not link the files to the computer, so that is the downside and probably why it is much cheaper than all the other options. At $100 though, I think that can definitely make up for it.
Can you "mess with it" when you work next by actually using it? Perhaps you could see how long it took to find a signal and jog half a mile so that it didn't get sweaty.
Or, you could comment on features/build quality/size etc...
I found this review:
Below's a little comparison I did between the Garmin 210 and the new Soleus GPS on a recent long run.
The coolest part was the Soleus GPS had an 8 sec auto-backlight during each auto-split showing, and it seemed to be activated only during the dark hours (Maybe thanks to the World Time function?). The Garmin 210 didn't, and had to be manually activated to get the light on at 5:30 am.
I've tried it 6 or 7 times, and it's worked admirably each time, and comparably to Garmin 210 on other wrist.
One of my cohorts took Soleus GPS around a 400m track, and got 0.40K, right on the money.
Synch's in 1 to 2 min, similar to the Garmin 210 each time.
Comfortable, easy to finagle, and good battery life.
Can we replace the battery ourselves? I don't like that Garmin makes you ship it to them and charges around $90 just to have the battery replaced.
Have you guys had good luck with Soleus watches in general? A buddy of mine had two with which he was displeased.
Just got mine and love it. Accuracy has been spot on but again cannot transfer data. For the price, functionality, and design its worth the money in my opinion. It has a rechargable ion battery but beyond that I am not sure. Happy running!
It's $69 on http://www.chronoshark.com/
Any ideas why it has a USB connector if you cant transfer the data to your PC? Is it just for charging?
Question: how is average pace being calculated? I heard this is a big annoyance on the Nike GPS since it jumps around all the time compared to Garmins floating last 100m or whatever it does.
Yes, USB is just for charging, what sucks there are no reviews yet
Just pulled the trigger at chronoshark. $74.95 after shipping.
I had a garmin 210, and thought it was too big. I'll post a full review after I've had it a few days.
