If you liked the previous ones, buy it. I like both the 15 and 16. It's a good moderately lightweight all around shoe.
if you liked the 15 don't buy it, i'm not kidding, otherwise it's a good shoe. i'd also recommend Saucony mirage and mizunos elixir.
I bought it because the 2160s cramp up my achilles and calves everytime i run in them i assume because they're not the least bit flexible. The ds trainers do a great job of being more flexible and lighter, a very good shoe that I don't see why people wouldn't really like it. It could be a little lighter though compared to other lightweight trainers.
try as hard as you can to get 15's instead of 16's. the heel thing on the 16's is ridiculously dumb looking and adds unnecessary weight.
thanks for all of the feedback! one woman at a running store said these weren't good trainer, but should be used for racing instead. is she an idiot?

Yes, she is. DST is an excellent allrounder.
haha thank you, that's what I thought
I've had no problem training 90-100 mile weeks primarily in the DS Trainer 16. I think it's a great shoe... I used to run in the Brooks Ravenna, but switched to Asics because I didn't like the Ravenna 2. After ,y next marathon, I may switch and try out the Adidas Tempo 4 just to try something new.
if you got 120 bucks laying around the Adizero Aegis 2.0 is a must try. i have the gel-ds and trying to start using them, but they just arent working. they feel stiff and bulky
