What would the best racing flat be for a heel striker, Mizuno Ronin 3(soon to be 4), Asics Hyperspeed 4, Adidas Adios, New Balance 1400, Nike Streak 3 ? Others??

Probably the Adios.

Nope, you need to correct that silly heel striking...get a woman's pair of 3" heels and run in them...they'll force you to get up on your toes like you should be...otherwise you'll be injury prone and continue to be slowwwww
Yeah, we wouldn't want him to end up like Patrick Makau, would we?
As with any other change-of-shoe decision, I think you should go to a good running store and try different brands. Which is what I did. I'm a heel-striker, and am happy with the Asics Hyperspeed.
I have the Adidas Rocket. They are the best flat I've tried. I think they are still available.
I like the looks of the Hyperspeed 4, but it does have a really low profile and seemed pretty soft. Have you run a Marathon in them? and do they feel responsive? Thanks.
Try the ds racer - has more cushioning than other racing shoes and a litle more solidity
Check out the Asics Tarther. It has the heel height (26mm) and nearly the same drop (12mm vs. 11mm) of the Adidas Adios, but the Asics fit, and a lot more durable outsole versus the Hyperspeed.
The Hyperspeeds are too low for me to race a marathon in personally. Tarthers are perfect. Worth a look.
When I got my NB 1400s last night I saw the Rockets. Looked pretty good. So did the Saucony Type A4s.

Bring Back The Bandito!
Word. I went through a good number of pairs of those bad boys.
I'm going to ask a second question for this thread. What is a good racing flat for an over-pronating heel striker who is 125 pounds?
Any racing flat assuming you are neutral and they fit and feel right.
There is no "best racing flat" for a heel striker as they all have heels.
Hell, just bring back the Ohana!

You might try the Asics DS Racer 8 which has a medial post. The shoe is the successor (allegedly) to the Bandito which was the successor to the Ohana. Not sure they have improved with the DS Racer.
Racing flats are not made for those with morbid form deficiencies, e.g., yourself.
Correct your heel striking. Then you may consider racing flats.

Just saw this. The longest I've done in them is a 10K but I think I'd be fine in an HM. (I've always run HM in flats, albeit different ones.) I really don't know if I'd wear them for a marathon.

Yes! Seconded! Would like to know the same.
I have a pair of Brooks Green Silence and they're great for the heel striking but not so great for the overpronation.
