Garmin 305 is safest best and hands down the best bang for the buck. I had a FR610 which was nice until the unit decided to no longer charge and I am currently awaiting a new one. The 610 is pretty nice but has a lot of firmware glitches that will hopefully be straitened out soon. Unless appearance is a big deal for you, the 305 is a really good choice. Don't even think about the 410.
Are you serious?! I like the Garmin forerunner 405 (it's the 410 but without the heart rate monitor) more than any other running watch I've had. I've had the forerunner 310xt which is very comparable in size to the 305 and it was like the size of a block. The 405 has never failed me even running through woods while under trees and even in downtown Chicago when I was there with my friends running through downtown/along Lake Michigan. The 405 is small enough to even be worn as just an everyday watch if need be. My friend has the 305 and has numerous problems getting a signal in the middle of a run when in the woods and sometimes even just in the middle of our town. If you want a non-reliable, giant computer on your wrist, go with the 305. If you want a reliable, accurate, and compact running watch to track your miles, then go with the forerunner 405 bro(or 410 if you want the heart rate monitor to wrap around your chest).
I will say that I have never tried the nike sportwatch though. It looks to be even more compact than my 405 but I still would go with Garmin because, well, it's GARMIN!
(I run 60-70miles per week and start my collegiate running career in the fall. Run mostly through my hometown and woods outside of my town with lots of trees.)
