Ummm..............Wow that is tough....I'll say Ed Whitlock....
bolt. everyone seems to think that world class sprinters would be total grannies in longer distances that couldn't break 42 minutes in a 10k. bolt is still extremely fit
3,000 meters MIGHT be a contest, but 10k is way too far for Bolt.
They'd probably be equal around 800 - everything longer Ed would win
A 50 second 400 would feel like a jog for Bolt. Imagine if he slowed down to 65 second pace, how ridiculously easy that would feel. All he would have to do is keep this up for 25 laps....nevermind.
Going with Ed here.
Bolt
Whitlock....by a mile.
Usain would be down to walking at about 6km saying something like.....
"Dis be 2 mony lops mon! Me gwaanabe tooooo tireed fa dey partay!!! Dat ol mon be kickun me arse!!! Me gwaanabe takun him to dey partay for dey Jah Mah Kun Booootaaaaay!!!"
Ed would >spank< him.
Many of you have obviously never been around real sprinters.
They can do drills, sprints, strides, plyos, etc. all day long - given enough rest, but running 3 - 4 laps at a good pace, game over.
I'd seriously have to go with Ed, figuring Bolt could hold out a dozen laps with a good lead and then would start to struggle. I don't think it'd be a big difference tho, < lap.
I got $2 on Ed's nose.
Whitlock wins in a sprint finish.
