Why do they have these meets in places like Fayetteville, Austin, Des Moines? It seems that every year there is a problem with storms. Why not just put the meet in Eugene every year. At least they have a big crowd and the weather is mild.

too much pollen
I'll take a little pollen over getting fried by lightning or getting flooded out or getting swept away in a twister.
The pollen is just too unpredictable. It's unsafe for the athletes.
Also, I seem to recall a lot of standing water in lane 1 in Eugene too weeks ago, making running on the rail impossible.
What's that sound on the streaming video? Are they making popcorn?

???? Are you sure it was Eugene...weather was pretty good there.
why is this link not working for me?
Bring it back to Sacramento.
I agree. Sacramento provided little to no problems. Warm during the day for the sprints and cooler temps hen the sun went down for the distances.
switch the day to thurs, 6-9.
OK, I give up. What the hell does "too weeks" means? Do you really not know how to spell the number 2?

Means?
This has to be the most hilarious quote of the year:
GonzoFonzo says: "Sacramento provided little to no problems. Warm during the day for the sprints and cooler temps hen the sun went down for the distances."

When was this meet. I was at the NCAA and two Trials meets in Sacramento. For the good of t&f they finally got these meets out of that hell hole. Hotter than crap during the day--the worst sightlines in any track stadium I have ever been to --baking aluminum seats with no cover or shade-- rude fans with no idea of what was going on--attrocious administration with multiple elementary type mistakes in running the meets and no regard for their volunteers. Did I say, crappy overpriced food? Please no, not Sacramento ever again.
Has anyone heard when the meet will start up again?
11 oclock, 9 pacific
No word yet. Recall a few years ago, the same thing happened (Des Moines or Fayetteville??). The meet re-started and the 10K was run near midnight.
So when does it go back on?
It's an event that takes place outdoors and in the summertime. Weather issues are part of the real world. You guys want to run this meet in a bubble or something? That would be the Galen Rupp Invitational. Some of you guys need to grow a pair.
