That'd be awesome.
I have tickets to see the 10000m in Daegu and seeing Bekele run would be phenomenal.
Might be an epic 5k on tap here. Almirew is licking his chops.
Why can't Webb get his s$#% together like this guy?
I know he's done really well so far, but it's one thing to run with pacers and one thing to win championships. Ask Daniel Kipchirchir Komen :) Be well!
Good to hear something about him. Even if he can't get it together for the WC, he still has over a year for the Games.
F***ing A! Now it's a real track meet. No disrespect to the other 10k runners, but it's just not the same without the greatest 10k runner of all time.

I don't think Geb is running the 10,000 at the WC's.
KB has been in steady decline for over 5 years; I am pretty sure his best days are behind him and from what he looked like the last couple of times I saw him race I would say winning gold in either event is doubtful.
Webb has a lot of sand up his vajay at the moment.

I literally thought the exact same thing(exact same words too ha ha).
ummmm....am i the only one that remembers how he dispatched Tadese at the 2009 WC?
this is the Master we're talking about here!
oops, thats the 5000m. here's the 10000m: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRCB-wrPIUY
In Beijing he was playing with the other runners. "Trackcoach" - my ass.
Anyone see where the author said that other runners probably weren't that worried because he was doing the sort of mileage that might be expected of a high schooler? I think people would be worried about him if he was doing thirty minutes on the elliptical five times a week!
He has steadily declined from never losing a 10 000m race to...never losing a 10 000m race.

Bekele's prime would destroy Geb's prime.

During a lot of those 5 years he was just racing to win, see as he had the best kick as well why do more if you know you are slight off wr fitness
If his injuries clear up he will be very hard to beat as nobody has showed up close to him. Come the Olympics there will always be some EA running brilliantly but I would still put my money on a fit KB.
One time he was in the world xc and I was thinking about placing a bet but the odds were stupid 1.02 or something. His shoe came off and he dropped back to 40th in a packed field. The odds shot up and I immediatly put a(small) winning bet on
He's had a long break but is still in his prime. As you will no doubt rattle on about his WR being years ago I will elaborate. A male lion leading the pack may be slightly past his best but he's still good enough to beat off the challengers to his leadership. He's only past his prime in this sense one he is deposed. I don't see anyone right now who can do it

Well, let's see here....last time I checked they both have 2 Olympic golds and 4 WC golds. But KB has run the fastest 10000 ever. I stand by my original statement.
They both have two Olympic Golds and 4 WC Golds. Geb had to race Tergat and Hissou in their prime.
They both set the WR in the 10,000
Geb lowered the record by 30 s over time and took the record from three different people, Bekele by 5 s.
In addition, Geb has a WC Silver medal and a Bronze medal and two top 6 Olympic finishes.
He is clearly more accomplished.
Bekele has beaten Geb three times in Championship races, all after Geb had moved to marathon training and had past his prime at 10,000m.
Bekele has plenty of time to compete in four more Championships to surpass Geb.
(Having the current WR doesn't make you the best ever. No one thought Chelimo, Ondieki or Hissou were the best ever)
