Hey y'all,
I'm about to finish up my collegiate running career, and with that will get a bunch of freedom to try something new - minimalism. One of my teammates has been fairly persistent in trying to get me to train in flats, showing me "Born to Run", pointing me to threads on here, etc. I've finally come to think there might be something to it.
I think I've settled on the streak xc 2 as my shoe of choice, thoughts? Right now I run in the Pegasus, and while they do the job, I have chronic calf tightness and shin pain. Will these problems be a problem with minimalist running? Obviously I'm going to ease into this, but I'm worried my tight calves will just be exasperated by running in flats. Thoughts?
