They are letting him run with the big boys?
Preliminary start lists:
Hey toolbag - get ready to jump back on the bandwagon when Webb runs fast this year. He's gonna be fine.
With this field he will get bitch slapped back into reality.
Poor choice to get back into it , agent wants a few bucks.

Always ready to jump back on the Webb bandwagon. Fun alternating between being a hater and a fan, and AW makes it easy.

Honestly though, why do people attack Webb the way they do? I'm legitimately asking. My guess would be its for 1 or 2 or both of these reasons: 1. He has made bold claims in the past (I'm talking about times he's said he thought he could run), and some people find him arrogant or 2. Some people just enjoy the feeling they get when being judgemental/negative. I'm not 100% knocking the Webb haters at all, but I just don't understand the overwhelming negativity that invariably shows up on any thread about the man. And yes I understand there are trolls out there doing what they do best, but some of these people are serious. It's as if Webb let them down personally. Simply put...Webb wants to run fast. He doesn't enjoy not running well, it's not like he's taking a dive for money in these races. I guess criticism of this magnitude comes with the territory when you set the AR in the mile, and when you have the expectations he's had since high school. But just let the f*cking guy run, and we'll see what happens. Also I'm not even really responding to any negativity on this particular thread, I'm just making a statement for what it's worth.
Saw him run there in 2004. I think he was 5th or so in maybe 3:34 but in the mix until the last turn. This is a good choice for Webb and excellent venue.
3:31 you heard it here!
You know, if Webb is running in a meet like this, he must be in shape. That's seems like a pretty high quality field that will most likely be fast, so Webb's training must be going ok if he's jumping in. I predict 3:35 for 5th place.
3:29 for the win.
good to see him back running
The T&FNews initial Form Chart has him only 9th -- a little tough do do form charts with so little to go on.

U.S. runners can't win on this board. If they don't run or run in low key events they are ducking the competition. But they shouldn't run in races against top competition because they will get beat badly and it will hurt their confidence.
I don't know how good or bad in shape he is. It is a fast field. I think it's funny that he has the fastest PB of the field. This will show where he is this year. He runs good, we will bw back on the AW wagon, if he doesn't we still think he is done.
3:33/4. great field for him right now, though he's one of only two runners with a sub 3:31 pr.
