I was also curious if any of the young guns out there would like to see some of these late 60's/early 70's flats brought back? I suspect they'd rather like their simplicity and minimalism; the shoe I cited, in particular, had a great feel for the road. The Nike Boston, Tiger Mexico 66, and Tiger Obori were also great simple shoes that were in this minimalist vein I was thinking of.
The Duellist and American Eagle were a little behind my time (I quit for about 25 years, '80-'05), so I can't really comment on those. The Duellist looks like a great shoe, but maybe a little thicker (hard to tell from the pictures) than what I was thinking about when I posted the question. Am I wrong or does the American Eagle look to have a lot in common with the Zoom Streak XC 2?
