You won't believe what has happened the past 8+ months...it is quite a story. Stay tuned.....

Is there another runner that may decide to focus on the steeplechase (08 Olympic Trials Champ), 5k (3rd fastest on US soil), or 10k and even marathon and he is a favorite in each!
What event do you think?
who cares

I think it would be fantastic is Fam had a really healthy, competitive season this summer. But I also think you're delusional if you think he would be a favorite lining up at any of those distances. He's got a ways to go to come back, but I'm certainly hoping he can do it.
Yeah a marathon debut might be good to see. I'm surprised he hasn't done one already. It's kind of unfortunate that he's still really all we have in the steeple. (Dan Lincoln, are you still alive?)
this dude is weird as shit. I am not a fan, plus he gives up if he can't 100% for sure win the race.

Huling is pretty darn good, 8:12 is no joke.
What if the big surprise was that he's been training under the radar in Kenya and recently time trialed a 26:50 10k?
Do you think he's pulling a Joaquim Phoenix? BTW, that movie was HORRIBLE.
my guess is that he has been living in a cabin in the woods and running 60 x 400 barefoot
Does anyone know the Olympic A and B standards for the steeple. Not the trials, the Olympics. I heard they were really tough.
i totally side with agip

I think they are;
A: 8:23
B: 8:31
I haven't seen him in Central Park recently. Nice bloke. I remember him slowing down to join one of our group once.
That was nice of him considering that we were running at about 9:30 pace.

I thought you were supposed to speed up to join runners. Is this guy sort of slow?
Wonder what the story is ... does anyone know if it involves a bike ride through south america and coconut throwing monkeys?
Equipment issues?
The recklessrunning.com homepage shows his back with the words "sustain the pain" - and if you move the mouse over it, you'll see a bell and some prayer flags in the background.
My take:
He had sponsorship issues and took some serious time off to rethink himself and his running. Now he's back, sponsoring himself through his own enterprise, and ready to go. +1.
