Looking into getting a running watch. Want it to be able to tell me distance, paces, and the like. Any recommendations out there or reviews of your running watch?

BUMP
garmin fr60. non-gps, uses a footpod. once you calibrate it it's just as accurate as gps though. at $200 it's the best bang for your buck. oh and it comes with a heart rate strap.

Get a Timex Ironman.
You should know how long your everyday loops are anyway, so why strap a monster GPS on your wrist?
Ironman. Save yourself $100-300.
A GPS is so that you don't need "everyday" loops. Some of the more recent models are not really any bigger than regular watches. You're still paying a premium though.
i'm telling you guys...garmin FR60. nobody knows about it but it's garmin's best watch, dollar for dollar.
make sure you buy a Garmin with virtual partner ... an excellent training tool
Here you go. wrote:

If you try a new route, it's not very difficult to runningmap it or mapmyrun it after you're done, and it's probably more accurate than a wristwatch GPS.
Here's what I don't 'get' about GPS - it's not that accurate. The real-world Runners World test they did recently (in the last year or so) suggested something like 1/10th mile error every 5 miles or so, even with the best units.
1/10th of a mile on a 5 mile (assume 40 minutes) run? At 8 minute pace, that's 45-50 seconds. Would you buy a watch with a margin of error of 45-50 seconds every 40 minutes? And you never know whether the watch is 'fast' or 'slow'? No, you wouldn't.
If you're that interested in accurate runs, the margin of error alone should give you pause, right?
To each their own - but more technology just means more distraction (says me, who runs with earbuds when possible).
By far the Garmin Forerunner 310XT, there is a review at http://thegarminforerunner310xt.com a friend of mine did that links to Amazon. He purchased it through Amazon and now loves the watch, I personally don't do triathlons but he does, and the 20 hour battery life is more like 18 but still that is insane for a GPS watch!
I got an fr60 for $140. The whole package, foot pod, heart rate monitor, usb, the whole thing. It was a little off at first but once i calibrated it it was perfectly fine. Also it doesn't lose signal under cover of trees or clouds which is good.
