Anyone use these? Seems like it might be a good alternative to the over priced Newtons.

Yes, I have a pair and I like them ok. The design is a little strange, especially in the heel, with some kind of carbon-looking stuff and some things that look like ventilation holes. I think they were really designed for triathletes which I'm not, so maybe this is normal?
They run a little big. I'm a 11.5 in Nike and Asics, 11.0 is plenty in this shoe. They weigh about 9 ounces, feel like a cushioned marathon shoe. The toe box is wide and the design doesn't have a strap that comes from the sole to the laces at the bottom, so they don't "lock down" on the toe box very well. I don't know the technical terms for these parts of the shoe but hopefully you know what I mean. Basically the toe box is a little wide and loose. You can tighten the laces to fix this. They are very breathable. Not like th Nike Streak 3, but still pretty good. They are pretty cushioned, as I said.
I'm planning to use them for longer races this summer (10 miles+). For shorter races I might use something a little lighter.
