Would you recommend them? I'm 6'4, 180 lbs, and right around 3 hrs. Thanks.

What have you trained in thus far? When is your race?
I'm 6'0" 180 lbs, 2:50 to 2:45 marathon and I train in Brooks Adrenaline GTS, I typically use the Brooks Racer ST3 for races over 10 k with good results for me, haven't used the ST4 yet.
I've trained in the Nike Structure and Brooks Adrenaline.
I'm more of a heel striker by the way. Will look into the Racer ST. Just wasn't sure if flats are recommended or not. The marathon is 7 weeks away.
You shouldn't race in anything you haven't used before in training. Seven weeks is enough time to pick up a pair or two and try them out before the race. Use caution.
Don't switch to flats at this point. You have far more to lose than to gain.
Going the full distance in these, if you're not used to training in minimal shoes, has a high chance of leaving you with cramping in the calves at mile 20+.
Next time around, add flats into your race pace workouts and long runs from early on and see that it goes well...then race in them.
The shoes you're used to are hardly clunkers, anyway.
This. Practice with flats next time around. I suggest Nike's Lunar Racers. They are really great shoes, ultra light, and I've found them to be much more supportive than other flats like the Streak XC. My goal time is 2:32 this year, and I've run a half marathon and lots of long steady runs at race pace in the Lunars. They're great.

When you do get around to trying out some flats in workouts (in advance preparation way before your race) I would recommend the Adidas Adizero Adios. I love them. However I;m 5'9 140lbs and I'm not sure what larger runners need.
I'm about the same size as you and for the longer races I like the Saucony Fastwitch, pretty light, good cushion, and an overall good feel to them.
