check out http://www.spirablog.com. It seems most everyone who races in this shoe sets a PR.
i got a pair for free once, size 9. used em in a 5mile race and PRed. I have since PRed again by close to 2mins and wasnt wearing Spiras then but rather Nike Streak XC 2s.
Note that Andy Krafsur has an email from Spira, indicating he probably works for them. Conflict of interest?
Personally I know one runner who wins ultras in them. I don't believe he wins because of them, but they obviously work plenty well that he's been able to set course records.
Shoes seem like they are a bit gimmicky but work as good as any, but I've been turned off to the company due to some of their advertising methods.
