they seem perfect for being flexible, lightweight, and being low to the ground but im running about 70 miles a week.

why not buy a pair and see? I wear shoes til they pretty much fall apart, or the upper rips so much my foot sticks out. I've had flats last less than 400 miles to as much as 2500 miles. Haven't tried those pumas though.
Just bought a pair and exchanged them for the Faas 300. The Road Racer is a great fitting shoe, just too soft for me. I'm going out on a limb w/ this Faas, but, I like simplicity of the Puma racers.
If the shoes have less, then sometimes they can give you more - less to break down.
My Asics Piranhas logged over 1000 miles before resoling - should be good for almost as far again now they have been resoled. But my New Balance RC130s, while being my favourite shoe out of the box, have minimal life to them. Didn't log the miles, but only a few hundred before resoling.
