Dear All,
I'm a patent litigator (and former NCCA runner) who has a running shoe issue that cropped up at work. I'm analyzing a patent that describes a running shoe with an outer mesh layer, and inner mesh layer, and an intermediate "reinforcing layer" to help the shoe maintain its shape. Think of the "reinforcing layer" as a series of durable strips or bands that run between the inner and outer mesh layers.
The patent was filed in June 2000, so I'm wondering if there are any running shoes which existed before this date and have these same characteristics. If anyone can point me in a promising direction, it would be greatly appreciated!
