Has anyone had the opportunity to try the Asics DS Skyspeed yet? It seems many were requesting a DS Trainer without posting and now it's available. Is it the great shoe that it can be???

It's scheduled to come out on 1/1/11.
I did try one on awhile ago and am planning to get it so I hope it's a great shoe. Speedstar is just a touch wide/unstructured for my foot so I'm hoping the DS Sky works better.
You can buy it and try it from roadrunnersports.com
I've tried it as well, it's a great shoe, similar to a Mizuno Precision. The Sky Speed will not, however, have the new heel-clutch system that the new DS Trainer 16 will have, so the Sky Speed will be more like the DS Trainer 15, without the posting.
how does the sky speed compare to the hyperspeed?
The Skyspeed will have a thicker midsole. It is essentially a DS Trainer without the medial post. The Hyperspeed is a racing flat and is noticeably lower to the ground. The Skyspeed will feel quite cushiony compared to the Hyperspeed.
How does the sky speed compare to the speedstar?
How does the sky speed compare to the speedstar?
The Skyspeed is very narrow in the forefoot as compared to the speedstar and hyperspeed. I was actually very disappointed in this shoe because of the narrowness of the forefoot.
