He complained that the Streak XC 2 was too minimal during the half. The only other options he has, unless he gets a custom shoe (which he probably already has) are the Streak 3 or the Katana. He could maybe wear something from the Free line.
I only bring this up to press the issue that Nike doesn't really have any good shoes to bridge the gap between racing shoes and training shoes. You see some of those adidas guys line up wearing the Adios, but there's nothing like that in the Nike line.
