After scouring the Internet trying to find a pair of Skylons in my size, I noticed that the last model was called "Nike Zoom Air Skylon 11."
Why no more "Air?" Did they change the cushioning system? Just curious.

I can't answer your question but i am not too certain of the future of air in nike running shoes, lunar looks like their future. an improvement by my standards.

Air and Zoom Air cushioning systems are still around and used extensively. They won't move away from Air/Zoom Air as it offers a ride personality runners love.
As SJS mentions, Lunar is a new addition to Nike's cushioning tool box with its own distinct benefits and a bright future.
Zoom Skylons are going to be hard to find but you might consider Lunar Fly as its equally light and offers a similar ride.
Hope this helps
