bump
When is Brussels? Not sure what time zone Belgium is in.
I am getting information from nairobi that rudisha has just won-and quite comfortably.
Rudisha won in 1:43.something. Pace was decent through 400m, with Rudisha in 3rd at the bell. He definitely was going to win with 300 to go, just wasn't going to be a WR.
Rudisha 1:43.50
with Kaki under 1:44 as well
Boaz Lalang took 3rd in 1:44low then a big gap to the 1:44high/1:45+ runners
Splits were around 49low/mid, 1:16.9 (3rd 200 of 27.5-28 seconds, compared to 25.4 last week!), 26.7 last 200m.
Rudisha didn't look as smooth as last week, but he was still clearly the best runner in the field. Kaki didn't look to be quite in the same form as he did earlier in the season when he finished just .2 behind Rudisha in a much faster race. He was struggling and gnashing his teeth with 150m to go despite the slow 3rd 200m. It was a battle out there though. No one went down but several were close to it/
Ali raced like an idiot. You don't try and overtake the pacer who is running the first 400m in 49 seconds between 300 and 400m into the race. Freaking moronic.
