I think 1:44 high is certainly possible if he's held his fitness since Pre. He ran 1:45.23 in late June and this will be the fastest race he's been in all year. With Kaki and Rudisha he can probably get through in 50 point with some guys to draft. I think Solomon who has never quite had an opportunity like this will take advantage (1:44 high is my guess)
GO DUANE GO! PR time!!! 1:43 is beckoning!
He will not stop until he breaks 1:44

He's been running (and winning) some low-key Euro meets. I think he's ready for 1:44 territory. There's going to be a fast pace, that's for sure...
How is your training going?
LOL
Eddy Mother Trucking Lee!
I was thinking about Solomon's race also. He was in killer shape early. Where has he been? Injured?
I'll say 1:46 after going out to hard.

I'm a huge fan of this guy as I watched him compete in HS and followed his career at USC.

GO SOLOMON!!!!
That is some crazy training you've got there Eddy, sub 4 1500 and barely cracking 16 in the 5k...
The combination of Solomon opening up his big mouth, the Igloid training system where one has no idea when or where they will run fast, and the coaching of Johnny Gray, all but assured that Mr Solomon a time slower than 1:46. That entire green team is learning on the job.
Good point about the Igloid training scheme. You never know when and where you will run your PR. Sometimes it comes in December or January, and sometimes your best races aren't there when you need them in August. Tough day for Solomon. Such a huge talent he is.
WTF is igloid?! Do you mean "igloi"? As in
mihaly igloi? This board is a real bunch of bozos...I'm quite sure they you're an authority on a subject you don't even know the f'ing name of...
Edumacator you ass hold!! That 15:59/5k is a 15:30/5000m on ther track.
Im not certain but I think the word "igloid" was intentionally used for dramatic effect. Regardless if that poster spelled the name correctly or not, your response was anemic. Instead of refuting his point you call him a bozo. By the way, what day does your junior high go back to school? Just asking.
