Worst advice ever.
I too am interested, particularly when shoe designs are changed. For instance,I loved the Saucony Triumph series but they added weight on the 7's and they are not the same shoe.
Nike Pegasus
Brooks ST
Another vote for the Nike Pegasus, on the assumption that by high-mileage you mean fairly cushioned. It's a good reliable shoe and priced well.

not really a high-mileage shoe.
pegasus is a good one, as well as the brooks ghost, asics cumulus, saucony ride.
i consistently get 50-100 more miles on my Pegasus' than I have ever gotten on any mizuno shoe. Great shoe, but they cost more and wear quicker I have found.

How is the Misuno Wave Rider not a high mileage shoe? I was going to say the Mizuno Precision 11, but I guess that won't meet the criteria if the Rider doesn't.
I weigh 160 and run most of my 80 miles a week in ASICS Banditos and Adidas Manas with occasionally forays into the Precision (which will get more use in sub-freezing weather thsi winter when the too-soft cushioning firms up). The Waver Rider is just too bulky for my taste and the Precision borderline so.
I have always been amazed at how the same people who can race in spikes yet can tolerate such bulky trainers. I have never been able to race in extremely light shoes or spikes comfortably, but I prefer to train in performance trainers or heavier racing flats. Is it just that most people have significantly different form and footstrike when they are going fast?
maybe we are arguing semantics here, but even though i prefer training in light shoes (launch, kinvara, free) i do not consider them high mileage trainers. sure they last a long time if you're not a heel-striker but still in the larger scheme of things they are "performance" trainers and not "high-mileage" trainers. the wave rider i suppose bridges the gap between performance and high mileage, but it will certainly not last as long as the other shoes i had mentioned.
I see. You mean high mileage in terms of miles expected from the shoe, not high mileage in terms of able to protect you from the rigors of high mileage. Got it. Makes sense.
Real men that run high mileage wear flats.
