My school cut part of the athletic budget so now the xc and track teams don't get issued out shoes. This sucks for me because they have always gotten my racing flats and spikes!
Now that i have to buy then on my own i have decided which ones to get, Brooks mach 12, and the question i have to ask is if i should get the spikeles, and on a muddy day just deal with it, or if i should get the spiked and just put in blanks unless the race calls for spikes. Now i know the usual answer to this would be "get a pair of both spiked and spikeless and use them in what ever the occasions call for" but i'm not made of money and i already have to buy my trainers along with them. So the question resides, spiked or spikeless?
P.s. I live in Texas and the state course has about 200 meters or limestone road on it, thats the main dilemma with buying spikes.
