I'd say the Lunar Fly .
which one is most like the zoom hayward? i loved that shoe. skylon was supposed to be like the hayward, but the skylon is more narrow and doesn't give my feet the freedom the hayward did. if anyone remembers the hayward and has run in a luna that is similar please post.
thx
The LunarFly has a very similar upper to the Hayward 3s. The midsole is a lot softer though, and the heel feels higher. I bought a pair because I read that they were supposed to be like the Haywards, but I don't know if I'll be getting another pair.
I ran in the Skylons and went they went out I just stepped down a level and started training in the Lunar Racer. Best shoe I've ever trained in!
I was a big Skylon fan, too and hated to have to replace my last pair. Neither shoe is a perfect replacement, but the Elite is definately closer. The Glide is beefier, heavier, more durable with better cushioning. The Elite is firmer, lighter, and less protective than the old Skylon. Note that the Glide is a good 1.5 oz heavier than the Skylon.
Myself, I've found the closest match to the old Skylon to be the Mizuno Wave Elixer 5.
