But despite such a fast first lap and hectic race, she still sets a second best! She has had a long season and finished it well, looking forward to her xc performance this fall!

and she ran very well (her best races) in her 2 biggest races this near, NCAA and world juniors.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't she also get 4th back in 2007 or 2008? It was the same year that Twell won I think. But perhaps it was actually one of those other championships the IAAF holds for young kids (Youth?).
That girl is made of iron.
4th in the last two world juniors, 2nd at world youths
If she was in a fast time trial race, I really think she could run closer to 4:10. It shows her fitness by the fact that she is running this fast in championship races, not ideal for PRs.
Yea, you would think Hasey could go faster than 4:13 and 9:15. Especially 9:15. But with the tactics and a super long season the meet still went pretty well. She does have a long way to go especially with the US talent at 1500 these days. She'll be OK
She did finish 4th at the last World Juniors, but I believe she ran a much faster time this year.
Pre finished 4th once too
He died later because the hype
People are being ignorant about Hasay's time in the 3000. Both her subsequent 1500 performance, and Sisson's follow-up to her 9:16 with a 15:48 demonstrate the difficult conditions of pace, climate, etc. that they had in the 3K. Both her and Sisson are capable of 9:00-9:05 under ideal conditions, maybe better in Jordan's case

They should both do very well in XC this Fall. They are both healthy...no injuries or apparent issues with eating disorders that are unfortunately are very common with Women runners this age.
I hope the best for them and look forward to the upcoming XC season.
On the other hand, it's almost August and they've presumably been doing track work until now. I don't expect to see Hasay race until late in the season.
"Jordan Hasay gets 4th and barely misses out on the medals again"
She was 2 seconds behind 3rd place, how is this classified as "barely misses out of medals"?
Pre didn't die because of hype putzyboy. He died
because some asshole was driving on the wrong
side of the very narrow road.
And what does that have to do with the gallant
effort JH put out today?
Nothing.

Except it was Emily Sisson who ran 15:48, not Jordan Hasay.
I was at the race, it was really windy. Not a good idea to judge Hasay for her time. I met the 4:08 Ethiopian girl. I knew she would win from the start just from watching her working out and meeting her during her cool down, such a humble girl.
She had a solid freshman year by any measure.
What a long season, though.
Three seasons in Div.1 is a heckuva a grind. And she is a fine student too.
I would make certain she has a mental break. Redshirting XC might be not be a bad idea. She would enjoy the 5th year of XC, one would think.
Reading comprehension much?

No Pre died because he was drinking at a party and then decided to jump in his car and drive, he was the asshole
she got third i believe, the only US female athlete ever to medal in the event.
