My favorite model of shoe was on sale so I bought 5 pairs...
Why would you do that?
I'm going to buy a large number of shoes next month because I'm afraid the price of imported goods is going to increase dramatically in the next few years.
I helped this couple one time and they bought 20 pairs of running socks apiece because they thought the price of oil was going to rise so high that the socks would quarduple in price. Last time I checked, Wigwams are still the same price as three years ago.
Buying in bulk is over-rated
I bought two pairs of Mizuno Wave Rider 12 from Dick's sporting goods because they were on clearance plus an additional 25% off. Total bill was $97.
I found the shoe for really cheap (never ever seen it so cheap) and the sale only lasts until today so I bought them all.
compulsively
I'm no running shoe expert, but don't components of the shoe break down over time, even if the shoes aren't worn? I'm afraid to buy too many at one time because they may break down before I start using them.
Aren't half the Africans we find running barefoot?
Why would you buy so many shoes that you'd constantly be running on a fresh unbroken cushion?
Well I'm not buying trainers for at least another year now...
