WOW!!!!
15:48!!!!!!
WOW!!!!
15:48!!!!!!
Is this legit?
WOW if it is.
Sixth place overall. She had one of the best years in high school distance running history and should make quite the splash next year at the University of Wisconsin.
Didn't know she had broken it.
I think it's a little creepy that you are going gaga over some high schooler.
... What are you talking about, she just set a high school record. WOW, one of the greatest HS runners of all time?? I wouldn't put her above Hasay's HS career, but close...
Could be another Lisa Koll in the making.
If Hasay and Sisson raced over 5k, I think Sisson would win. Hasay would win over 1500, and it would be very close over 3k (as we've seen).

No, you are the pathetic one. There's nothing wrong with getting excited about a high school record of a girl heading to Wisconsin.
I'm sure no one went nuts when Webb ran 3:53, or Ritz 13:44, or Rupp 13:37, or GF 8:34....oh wait they did.

In addition to setting a new HSR, Sisson also established a new AJR!! It's worthy of a little "gaga" reaction.
10-4 on that....I mean....How many college women have run faster this year?....7 or 8..maybe?
The AJR is Molly Huddle's 15:36.. so she hasn't set it yet, but is VERY close. She's one of the fastest juniors ever!!
its too bad she is going to wisconsin...
Wisconsin is a great school. BUT, the women have a very, very bad coach who has destroyed their program. He will probably destry her career. Too bad Tegen wasn't still there. Wisconsin really screwed him.
approx spilts....from the leading pack...
1st K - pack through a 3:01.66 first kilometre
2nd K - The pace slowed slightly in the second kilometre, reached in 6:03.69, but by then the field had been strung out and Nawowuna was leading a pack of seven, including both Kenyans, both Ethiopians, Daba of Bahrain, Yeum of Korea and Izawa of Japan.
3rd K - split was 9:03.11
4000m 12:09.44...leaders
Huge race for Sisson. I believe she ran a 3200 PR en route (10:05).
Well she did run that 9:53 3200 time trial a while back, but splitting a 5K in 10:05 for a high school girl...that's huge!!!
To put how impressive a 15:48 is in perspective it's equal to a 4:14.1 1500 (faster than Hasay's HSR), a 4:33 mile, a 9:03 3K and a 9:43 full two-mile!!! Wow. Now I know conversions aren't exact and everything, but a very impressive finish to an absolutely spectacular senior year. Looking forward to seeing her in college next year!!!

Awesome running.
Did she beat Hasay in the WJC 3k?
This Sisson girl is going to be tearing up the XC courses from September. Top 5 in NCAAs no progblem. With no Bizzarri, Baringer, Kujiken, Koll, Blood etc Sisson could even win.
