All of my shorts are split 2.5" shorts, but I keep on getting painful chafing as I sweat a great deal in hot weather. So, out of curiosity, do people wearing longer short(like those 7" or 5" or basketball short) have this problem?
My theory is that because split short are so short, they tend to bunch up and rub against the thigh as they get soaked and that longer short might not have this problem because they are not short enough to be bunched up at the inner thigh part and sweat gravitates toward the lowest part of the short, which is significantly lower than split short(not at the inner thigh part, but near the knee).
Is this theory sound? I don't want to go out and buy a long short just for the hot summer if it doesn't work. Can people wearing long short give their actual experience with this? Thanks.
