It's been around for a few years now. Maybe 5 years ago?
It's very silly. A propos de socks, I have recently discovered "teko" brand merino wool socks, and they are excellent.
Yeah, they made them so they can charge morons more for a dumb pair of socks. All you need to do is tell 'em they've got left and right specific cushion and "support" and they suddenly find themselves wondering how they ever lived without it - when they should really be wondering if such ridiculousness even makes sense.
Seriously, if you want to sell something to runners, just use the words "support" and "cushion", even if it makes no sense at all, because hey, support's good right? Can never have enough support. No sir.
I agree, this cushion and support stuff is out of hand!!
I have been looking for some good minimalist socks. Do you know where I could find any?
Yea, don't wear any socks. That's pretty minimal...
I run too early in the morning for that shit.
thanks everyone, i just thought the whole thing was weird. given the posts of guys on letsrun other than you people, i doubt they know left from right so they'd get their socks on "wrong" and then sue the supplier when injured.
I don't think they their socks on the correct side? How bad is the blistering when you wear socks like this?
