She has had a steady progression over the last couple years. Is she another Chanelle Price to threaten the invincible Girls High School 800m record by 2-time Olympic Medalist Kim Gallagher?

Check out the video below:
A freshman runs 4:45 to break the NJ Freshman record Ajee ran last year! We should hear alot more from those young ladies hopefully for several years!

That is pretty incredible to have to very young athletes running that fast and from the same state. Throw Raevyn Rogers in the mix and 2011 could see all kind of High School records falling! Great video.
Ajee is just starting to gain national recogition, but she is certainly no secret to people who follow NJ area track and/or the age group circuit. She skips some of the big national meets or just runs relays at them. I mentioned a year ago that know one knows how fast this young lady can run becasue like Robbie Andrews from NJ, she is a racer and runs whatever it takes to win. Ajee has tremendous range, her training is mostly 400/800, but runs everything from sprint relays to XC. The upside is, she could be an exceptional 400m runner, but loves the mile and runs 4:40s off half the milage of the other top girls. Lucky for her in that between her club and H.S. program, she has always had caring and nuturing coaches and she in a state where she always have good local competition.
She looks a little bit or part East African
There's also that sophomore girl that ran at one of the UW indoor meets and ran a 4:4x mile, too.

Don't know if this was mentioned somewhere in the article but I think it's worth noting that she negative split going threw the first 400 in 63mid. There is no telling what she could do right now, fantastic athlete.
If Ajee races to run and isnt pushed, then perhaps she had a bad day last year at nike outdoors. Chelsey Sveinsson won in 4:40.x for the full mile (4:38 1600) and was far ahead of the field. Would love to see Ajee Wilson in the Jim Ryun dream mile in a week against top competition!
Freshman from Grosse Pointe South in Michigan ran 4:46 for 1600m. Qualified for state in the 400, 800, 1600, 3200, and is the top seed for two of those events.
That is great, I wonder how old she is...

and her twin sister "only" runs 4:55
Should note that Laura Roesler was a soph two years ago when she ran 2:03.08.

Glad to see her coach has her best interests in mind when entering her in races, certainly a recipe for success.
Great stuff, VERY awesome race at the NJ meet of champions!!
She didn't necessarily have a bad day, she was in over her head against Sveinsson, there is no shame in that.
also there is a 13 year old girl DOB 9-7-1996 named raevyn rogers who ran a 53.31 for 400 and 2:06.90 for 800 meters as a 12 year old, at a national age group meet.
you hear from these kinda of girls for a few years...then they hit puberty.

yeah, once upon a time there was a 17 or 18 year old girl who ran a 14:30 for 5k and she was also a 5k world champion, named tirunesh dibaba and she had a friend named meseret who ran 8:40 for 3k at age 15 or 16. these 2 girls would have long hit puberty by now and would be about 24 and 26 years old respectively, does anyone here know what happened to them?
