His first name is Kirk, but it doesn't give his last name. In his bio on the ABC website, it says his proudest accomplishment is achieving all-american status in the 1500m run as a collegiate. Who is this guy? Does anyone know?

it's Kirk DeWindt... looks like he was DIII All-American for Wisconsin Oshokosh in 2002 Indoors... before they switched to the Mile.
Seems like a douche.
Anyone would seem like a douche on tv trying to get a chick. Kirks an awesome guy!!
Dlll is JV, doesn't really count, just like the Tv show. :-)

Dude looks like the adult Scut Farkas (Zack Ward) from Christmas Story. You know, the bully who picked on Ralphie.
http://cdn-images.hollywood.com/cms/294x255/5209580.jpgJust wondering why all the guys look gay? I'm gay myself, so nothing against gays, but they have that "generic gay" look you see at gays bars.
Apparently Solinsky knows this guy from high school races. via twitter
"I am admitting that I am watching the bachelorette with my wife and I actually know the guy from Wisco. I ran against him in HS. GO KIRK!!"
Edwin Moses was Dlll
I was at that race. I think they have raced the 1500/mile differently since shortly after 2002. Back then, there were 9 guys in the final, and Kirk was 8th, only beating his teammate John LeRoy.
For that distance, essentially all you had to do to get all american was to get out of trials, because someone always dropped a ~4:10 in finals. As such, the real gem was his trial race the night before, which I remember him running very solid.
I hope he wins. :-)
I just hope we don't hear him talk about being a great runner or something. We have high school underclassmen who can stomp that from year to year.
Not bagging on him as a person, UNLESS he tries to claim he's a great runner.
Otherwise best of luck to him.

Do you hear your phone rining? It's the networks calling, they want you for a pilot reality show called "The Douche'"
People are going to rag on this guy which is just sad. How fast do you have to be to be able to be proud of what you did? He IS a good runner, period. Not the greatest in the country or anything, but very, very good. I don't even know this guy, but anyone who comes on here and talks crap about him for being slow is officially a jealous douche. That is all.
There is a triathlete

From the comments it sounds like he got eliminated straight away? That should make a few here happy.
Edwin Moses was DII at Morehouse College.
