Well, I thought that sounded a bit fast, even for an athlete who keeps herself in good shape. Looked it up and the town of Roscoe does host a 3k and an 8k every year. So maybe she is talking 37:15 for 8k.

Another example of the wonderful world of RW journalism.....
If she ran 37:15 then she was clearly doped.
possible but unlikely unless she has past in competitive running? she did say she medaled though?
I'm not seeing the problem here. We have a popular figure that obviously has an interest and respect for running.
Yeah, we really don't need that kind of attention for the sport...
She was asked a question about a race and she replied. Maybe she got the time or distance incorrect or maybe she was pretty fast. I don't think that's should be the focus or main takeaway here.
Good for her, hope to meet her on a run someday.....Go Daddy!!!
My issue is with RW. I can't fault Patrick for confusing a race time and distance that she ran several years ago. I mean if I had done a race in a different sport like swimming years ago, I could easily forget what my time or metric distance was and certainly how that compared to others. But RW should have recognized that was a very fast female time for a 10K and looked into it and added a footnote or correction or something. But they can't even use proper grammar and spelling on that site so I guess that's expecting too much.
I have been unable to find results confirming Danica's 10k, 8k, or 5 mile result.
Roscoe seems to have two or three races in this distance range. The Roscoe Railroad Run (5 miles), also known as the Goldie B. Floberg Run. The Roscoe Tour De Trail 8k. The Stateline YMCA 5k/10k.
Some results through the years for these races are here:

But no confirmation on Danica's claims so far.
Deer Danica,
Good luck in the Indy 250!
No need for the facts to get in the way of a good story. ... nice work RW! Just makes you and your celeb runner look bad.
Racing car drivers are surprisingly fit. They experience pretty high G forces and I know the Forumla 1 guys (the top dogs) are pretty fit. I think Jenson Button (current F1 World Champ) runs about 36 mins for 10k.
She must be pretty fit, she threw her whole crew under the bus after her terrible qualifying run at Indy.
Since when does Roscoe host a 3k and an 8k every year? Rockford has an 8k and a 2 mile. Roscoe used to have a 5 mile race but not anymore I don't think. They had a 5k/10k/half marathon a couple years ago...they might still.
wow, that's better than Teg will ever do amirite
She got a taste of NASCAR and is hooked. Her heart is no longer in open wheel. Will burn bridges and leave for the lucrative and safer form of racing.

As a whole it won't make anyone look really bad since very few people will fact-check it on their own.

She admits she has enhanced herself.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wbxrv3uj9JYWhy is everyone surprised about 37:15 10k? thats not very fast. A bunch on NAIA girls ran faster last night.
"She must be pretty fit, she threw her whole crew under the bus after her terrible qualifying run at Indy." Good one!
I was there...Everyone knows Danica in area & even back then she was the talk of the town. When she showed up for a local event everyone noticed. The race is called Tour de Trail and was an 8K race. She won her age group not the overall female. It's also not a race that appeals to the local speedsters, so her age group win is not impressive either.
holy crap - you HAVE to see this photograph i found of Danica. who knew Wejo lived in the same neighborhood as her..?
