Regionals should be interesting when you throw UCI's Chrales Jock into the mix.
The only reason Wheating didn't take a serious beating is because Robbie Andrews wasn't in the seeding.
wheating will beat andrews at nats

What makes you think that?
What impressed me the most was the real cut that Thompson gave to primm with 250 to go. That and this post are some of the most respectable displays of sportsmanship I have ever seen. Way to go Oregon

Somebody call the Whaabulance.
Primm fought hard not to give up the lead on the back straight of the anchor lap. Not sure quite what he was thinking...why not just let the guy pass you if he wants to run that fast and see if you can get him back on the home straight? Looked to me like he killed himself with that little battle and had nothing left when it was really time to kick.
can somebody link a video please?
Wheating will kick Andrews' ass, because that's how they do it in the 802:

Also, I think Wheating is only gonna do one event, so he'll be ready this time.
Or at the very least write up a full race recap. Video would be best though. Thanks if anybody does.
wheating knows what he did wrong the other two times he got beat. I don't see him letting it happen again. It's not like Andrews is better than him. Andrews just had that ferociousness and confidence and it took wheating by surprise. Besides, nats is where it actually matters and wheating won't choke there. Look at last year's 800. If andrews beats him at nats then, okay, he's the greatest, whatever.
Wheating already owns andrews since he is basically his dad now, all he has to do is spank andrews and ground him!!!
What Wheating did wrong was show up to a race against a better athlete, Robbie Andrews.
fyi, wheating didn't take the lead until about 90-90 meters to go so he put over a second on all those guys in that last 80-90 meters.
Thompson jammed an elbow into Primm's chest and then cut him off to set up the Oregon lead you bozo! Did you see how PISSED Primm was? Then Oregon gives hugs all around. You get real.

Call the WAHbulance too.
Shit happens in races dude, I really doubt Thompson was aim for Primmrose.
Besides, champions can handle a little jostling in traffic.

El G was great at it.

Come on, yes there was some compact 800 meter racing, not a theatre enactment though. Thompson was simply making a bid to win and Primm kind of had a panic attack about letting him get around, which ultimately led to him fading out of the race. He lost composure with about 250 to go.
His own coach told him a guy being physical is no excuse.
He'll learn from this and come back at regionals hopefully.
All that said, Thompsons arms look about 3 times as big as Primms, I'm surprised he can find himself at the end of an 800 with any fight left. He looks like a big 400 guy.
