Syringes. HGH. Some coffee thrown in for good measure.
i hate it too, although salazar's guys and even the mammoth lakes guys keep their training a secret, too. ritz wouldn't share much on his blog.
i don't get it, it's not like people off the streets are going to start copying you and beating you... the only people in the country (/world) with a shot at beating you already have their own personalized training (which is also secret)

The secret is: there are no secrets. Seriously, if you think they are doing something new you're just reaching for something you'll probably never have: insane talent.

goes without saying but would just like to learn from the best which could help my training
found some info recently on their group, the long is not easy more like steady/fast, lots of volume type cruise intervals (1mile and 2mile intervals)

None of that is revolutionary. Basically you need to figure out what works for you. I know for me it is running twice a day every day except Saturday and Sunday, taking Saturday as a very easy, relaxing recover day, long run Sunday that starts moderate and ends pretty fast and a workout in the middle of the week, usually either a solid 8-10 mile tempo or 1 mile repeats with 1 minute rest or 2 mile repeats with 2 minutes with a total volume of 8 miles. Long run should be treated as a hard day, not just a jog. Nothing crazy, can guarentee that is what most pretty good 10k guys are doing.
Josh Cox reports all of his training on Twitter. You can follow him at JoshCoxRun. Here's a recent entry: "Solid long run. 35.2 miles. Felt good the last 10. 32-35.2 on Green Church Rd. Ran a 4:52 from 32-33. 5:15 last mile."
Schumacher keeps a pretty tight lid on what he does.
Salazar and Mahon give plenty of info that is available for free. You just gotta know where to look or who to ask.
Schumachers group has been reported to use Testoboost. Alberto's group uses Androgel and allergy medications.
Testoboost > Androgel

This is true. I'd add that while there is nothing revolutionary per se about what they are doing, it's the combination of many factors such as a successful training model, following it diligently with utmost faith, great areas to train, cross train and recover and for the Portland boys even access to sports psychologists (running is hugely mental, it can be the difference between being stuck at 13:12 and setting an AR as the first white guy under 27:00).
It's the whole package that is why you see so many of these guys running at such a high level and it didn't happen overnight.
Schumacher doesn't talk to the media or even like his athletes to do so. Fortunately, a couple of them are adults and do so anyway.
Do you have a link to confirm this information? What report?

More evidence that he wastes his best performances in training.

This just goes to show that almost anyone can train top runners.

Come on that's not true, it could just be that he's made to coach more mature athletes rather than teenagers turning into young men. He's doing phenomenal now. 4 runners to worlds last summer, a guy under 13, a guy 13th at world cross, two national records recently and we all know the various accolades associated with Solinsky's mark.
I think it would be great if they were more open about training, but it is a competitive sport and only 3 spots are allowed for each national team, giving others an advantage by knowing what you're doing is not really in the best interest of self preservation while you're still a player in the game.

kind of like everyone who beat him at wisconsin.

No, quite the opposite. Not all coaches are the same believe it or not. Vin Lananna has coached a fair share of post collegiates without little success relative to his ability at the college level. There are numerous other examples. Some high school coaches can't coach college and vice versa. Vin is a genious at managing the various adolescent egos that enter college, seriously. Jerry is likely less of a manager of personalities and more of shaper of mature runners.
Pros need less hand holding and motivating and can handle higher expectations without micro management.
As per your original statement, which pro coaches have had the success that Jerry has? 5 guys from the same college team to world championships in a one year period? Swept the 5K spots? Two guys under barriers that 2 years ago were still thought of as next to impossible for an american not born in E. Africa? If it was that easy, why does Jerry stand out so?

There was a Flotrack video of Teg and Solinsky in their apartment in Europe with a bottle of Testoboost on the dresser.
