helluva race by both. Solinsky owes Rupp dinner.

Some people don't need to worry about allergen levels to bust AR's by 14 seconds.
Bottle Palo Alto Pollen and start selling it! A little Oak, a little Cottonwood. Its like Bee Pollen for distance runners.

Class move by Rupp to go over and shake Solinsky's hand- you could see Solinsky was kind of looking in his direction after they finished, but Galen actually went over.
Talk about a classic Nike F up... it was the All Galen and Salazar Show leading up to the race, but lo and behold Schumaker's big boy (making his 10k debut no less) steals the thunder.
Hopefully this motivates both Solinsky and Rupp to think even bigger.
Growing up as a h.s. kid in the 90s, it blows my mind how far American distance running has climbed back. A proud day indeed!

Nike just has two Americans break the old AR in the 10k. Solinsky just went 26:59 in their uniform...you think they are thinking they f'd up? Not to mention this race probably would have been like 27:35 if Rupp hadn't gone. And Rupp probably would not have run this fast in Oregon. So win win all around for Nike.
It was actually embarrassing how long it took Rupp to come over and how it looked like he had to be ushered into it. All the other competitors seemed really congratulatory.
Here's the finish and Rupp's "class act":
Who was the homo in the spandex jeans and blue jacket?

Rupp was bent over, sucking air forever, looking dazed when he did stand upright. The others had energy to spare from drafting off him.
Rupp did just run a 27:10... not like that is hard or anything, he was probably not tired or drained at all after that... plus he got dropped imagine how wrecked he felt running under the old AR but getting dropped. That's called exhaustion... That was an amazing race all around! 1:55 last 8! Just nuts by everybody in that front group!
Yeah right. Rupp was leaving the track and Jerry had to lead him over to do the right thing. Face it, he's a social dork like most of letsrunners.

Yes, but when he recovered he walked in the complete opposite direction before he was forced to turn around (Al had to actually push him), and then Rupp barely got in an anonymous pat on theback before turning and getting as far away as quickly as possible. Class act.
Sorry, I guess that was Jerry, not Al.

No, Rupp displayed the same lack of class that his mentor Salazar had when he was an athlete. Rupp had to be pushed over to Solinsky and gave a weak handshake then couldn't get away from him fast enough.
Classless.
Al was too dumbfounded at how Jerry's kids are beating his golden boy.

That just means he will keep improving, I'd be worried if were smiling and enthused that he got beat, by another American at that.
