No offense but I have the speedstars, and while they are great, do u think that a performance trainer is the best option here for 100mile weeks and lots of easy distance? Are you sure this is the best option? It may be for some people but I think I need a regular trainer for neutral folks
Generally people are correct to believe less shoe is better but when you're pounding the roads and tearing up trails for miles and miles, what kind of shoes do you prefer? Last cycle I did I used Landreths, Defyance 2s, ....and I did use Speedstars for some tempo stuff.
Currently I have roughly 450miles on my Defyance 2s and the toebox is tearing, etc. 450 is actually a long time for me, and I am 5'10" 135lbs.
Landreths have about 320mi and still going strong
I know there are some minimalist types out there and that's good but I think its also good to rotate to different models of shoes just so you stress the muscles, tendons and such in different ways.
So in the past I have liked having like 3 shoe models I can rotate for doubles and stuff. What do you think?
