Where are you watching this?
flotrack. that was insanely fast. wonder if she can work that in off a faster paced race. hats off emily
you can also watch it right in our event preview (that's how i came across it)
agreed.. she was the smartest looking hs racer out of any girl I saw this afternoon. she was so patient. in fifth or so with a lap to go, moved up some on the backstretch but stayed tucked in on the turns, and then monster kick in the homestretch. she put 2 seconds on 2nd in what looks like far less than 100m, since the finish is kind of in the middle of the stretch. she's going to Villanova -- what a score for the national champs!
Why did Chelsey not run??? Even though the pace was well off a record setting one, still would have been a great race.
That was CRAZY!!! Great race by Lipari.

Nothing came up, except a turkey sandwich advertisement.
lol 65 is that a joke? she was at worstttt a 63... may have been 62... the leader cuffe came through around 8:29/30 and she was like 1.5/2 seconds back
64 last lap, very nice kick.
Isn't this the girl that dominated people on the final lap of the mile at Millrose? Her kick there was crazy too, putting 30 meters on people over a 160m last lap.
no
she had trouble keeping up with the pace
Same girl. She dropped about a 28 last 200 in that one.

No, Emily didn't win Millrose.
Just to set record straight, no, Lipari did not win Millrose. In fact she struggled mightily in defeat ... THEN started on this impressive string of wins with crazy kicks ... Reebok Boston Indoor, Nike Indoor (on same track), and now Penn.
To give you idea of that pure kicker's speed at the end, her close from 1500 to the finish at Boston Indoor was 15.81 seconds. Then had Lynx timer at 1500 and she was 4:30.96 and finished at 4:46.77. That's for 109 meters, so sub-60 pace for the sprint. She was trailing by .15 at 1500 and won by more than 3 seconds.
On top of all that, if you knew anything about 1) how much soccer the girl has played and traveled for in the past few years to the detriment of her running, and 2) how much work her form could use with good coaching, and 3) the lack of quality coaching overall she has now ... well, you'd realize how much BETTER this girl could be at Villanova. Hopefully it'll work out for her and she'll keep ascending ...
Dont think it was 28, but it was good

I got her last 200 in 29. Even though the overall pace was not at record levels, still very impressive. The previous 400 was definitely sub 5 min pace. And for her, the best part is that she's going to a program where they actually know what they're doing on the womens side, and she'll get the coaching she needs and deserves. She should have great things to look forward to!
Gina's going to take this one far.
