DS Racer is going to be more like the ST Racer. Both of the Asics shoes are going to have a smaller offset than the ST racer.
I'm neutral, so I live in the T6/Tarther world. I think the T6 is like 20/8 and the Tarther is like 19/10 for offsets. Despite being shoes capable of doing the same things, they feel quite a bit different on my feet.
I recommend trying the DS Racer if you're looking for it to be a smooth adjustment. Your feet and ankles might move around differently and land harder if you go right to the Tarther.
You have not worn both shoes, my friend, they don't fit anything like each other.
The new DS racers are VERY snug fitting, especially in the midfoot and heel. They also have a very prominent arch. The fit reminds me very much of the Nike Lunaracer.
The Brooks Racer ST fits roomier, straighter last, lower arch, firmer cushion. The Tarther will fit and feel much more closely to the Racer ST than the DS Racer.
I would seriously recommend trying both of them on if you have the chance.
