Nike recently discontinued the Lanangs, and I don't see a new model from them. Adidas used to have a model a few years ago. If no one is making real steeple spikes anymore, what do you use that's thin and strong enough for a steeplechase?

Yes. Nike's steeple spike is called the Mamba and Adidas still makes one. I believe their steeple spike is called the Avanti but I'm not sure.
Nike Mamba
Adidas adiZero Avanti
The Mamba is lighter, fits narrower and is a wonderful spike for everything from 1500-5k (or even 10k, for some people). If you ever wore the Zoom Kennedy, the Mamba reminds me very much of it, in that you can race damn near anything in it.
The Avanti is probably the more "technical" spike. Better grip under the midfoot makes the avanti extremely steady on top of even the wettest water barrier. It fits more like a racing flat and has a little more cushion to it on the landing. The spike plate is stiffer, and it is perforated under the toes, so the water drains straight out of the bottom of the shoe. Another great spike for steeple all the way up to 10k. I found them to be a bit too flat for my liking under the 3k mark, but I have seen lots of them in Pro circuit 1500m races too.
Is your google update?
I have a pair of Adidas adizero Avanti's and I thought they were an excellent spike for the steeple and the 5k. It isn't as light as some but I sometimes believe lightweight is a bit overrated at some points. Plus is highlighter yellow so it makes a statement and you better be fast.
I did, but any sort of combination of searches with the keywords "track" "Steeplechase" "spike" "shoe" kept pointing me to Lanang's and Adidas's discontinued spike from a few years ago.
Thanks for all the help, guys. I feel a little silly I couldn't find out all this on my own now.
This may be a stretch, but does anyone know if there are any companies that make *women's* steeple spikes? I've been running in the Adidas AdiStar ST and they've been working okay, but the fit just isn't quite right.

Nike makes the Mamba down to a womens 6.5, so I would recommend looking into those. Subtract 1.5 from your normal spike size for the correct size.

Thanks, I'll look into them. I'm guessing that black part in the middle is a drainage hole? It's hard to tell from the pictures on their website.
I forgot, the Zoom W2 is also an extremely capable steeple spike.
