That's great, good luck to them. At the same time, it is so weird that John is included in all this, Bill is the coach.
Maybe John is handling the business end of things?
I don't know who all is on the team, but they do have Kyle Heath- Sub 4 a couple of months ago, just ran 8:32 steeple at Stanford.
Aren't they both coaches? The dad's the head coach, and the son is the assistant? I think....

That is correct. Bill is the head coach and John is the assistant coach. Bill gets all the accolades, but John is incredibly important to the FM program.
Anyone know the relevance of the name Stotan? This will be a good lesson for you young kids out there.
As the quote on the site indicates, it's Cerutty's creation.
Stoic + Spartan

Not their style at all...if I had to choose two coaches in the US to start a club team like this, it would be them...what they touch turns to gold...great that they have the support of Nike...good luck.

Noticed from your link that Andrew McCann is joining after graduation...nice addition (14:15ish/30:00ish?)and back with his HS coaches...wonder if teammates from his prep years will follow suit? Gruenewald and Kimple?
Does anyone know what kind of support this group offers their athletes? I'm a 3:45 1500 guy thinking about continuing to run for another year...
Aris's provide coaching and can hook you up with a job at a local running store if needed. Nike provides a pretty good amount of gear and meet fee's. There might be some facilities like weights included as well.
I think they'll talk to you for 4 hours a day free-of-charge, as well.
That sounds as though you see that as a bad thing, though I think that is exactly what many pro-aspiring runners are seeking in individual attention and 4 hours of time daily is more than most coaches will give.

Yes, it is too much talking. I think they do a good job with the HS thing because they outwork everyone. At the elite level everyone works, so the success will not be as easy. It's also harder to brainwash adults.
Someone's jealous...
There's an email link with the Stotan link here. You could "talk" with Aris. Good luck- it's great to get something like this going in Upstate NY.
I think Fred Joslyn is joining.
