I'm very intrigued by this watch. Are there any opinions on it yet?

I would have been, but got a Soleus262 and it is the absolute best running watch I have owned. I have had close to six Timex 50-Lap Sleeks in the past...

Now this feature of the watch is one I don't understand

$95 is a little steep for a watch. What makes this worth twice as much as a Timex?
And how often do people even need a 50 lap memory, never mind a 100 lap memory?

PU = Polyurethane, band wont stain.
The Soleus has a couple of advantages over the Timex watches. Timex has either a single-mode or a dual mode countdown timer. The Soleus can do up to 5 separate modes in countdown. The Soleus has a glass face instead of a poly face, so it won't get scratched up as easily. The watch face is a large viewing area, so it is easier to read your splits during your runs. It also has a screen toggle while you're timing, so you can toggle between split time, lap time, and a combo screen that shows both.
Is it worth $95? Maybe, I certainly like mine (I'm not the poster above), it all depends on what you value. It is absolutely a good watch though.

It is a joke. Tap only works on lap splits and the amount of effort to tap the screen is ridiculous.
I have this watch. Had it for about 2-3months now. There is another post on this too.
I like it a lot. The face is really big and the digits are really easy to read, especially when tired from intervals.
The tap feature is actually really nice. Just be sure to set it to "hard" otherwise you will get some unwanted splits. The "tap" is basically just a quick slap of your wrist. Really easy and simple. The lap time stays "paused" for 8secs for you to read it, then continues.
Yes, I actually use that many laps. I will do a few runs throughout a week and then record them in my log only twice a week. So a track workout with 16 laps (8 hard, 8 rest) then another day with 3 laps because I ran a loop run or something, they all start to add up. The recall feature shows the date which each run was done, so it is easy to review them a few days later.
Run by feel homies. Don't cost me a benjamin to get my workouts in. You all are slaves to technology.
I got a timex sleek and the start/stop button only worked 30 to 70% of the time, no matter how hard it was pushed or in what direction. I returned it and am still using my casio from 15 or so years ago.
