That was great! I like how the commentators and the athletes sounded so serious when it was such a joke.
Carl Lewis and Dan O'Brien acted like real reporters.

I was channel surfing on my TV last night and came across the Man vs Beast 2 show. It was like watching a car accident scene. I didn't want to watch but could not help myself.
At a time when we T&F fans are thankful to get even 2 laps of a distance race televised I found myself staring at extensive, full, in-depth, commercial free (in the sense of the actual "competition" not being interrupted by a commercial break) coverage of:
* A potential USA Olympic team decathlete long jumping against a freaking dog (into a lake)....the dog "won". Carl Lewis provided the commentary (how suitable!)
* A national class USA male gymnast hanging on a high bar to see if he could outlast an oranguatang.....the gymnast "won".....but the ape took a monster piss in the middle of the event which won him styple points I'm sure (Bart Connor providing the commentary.)
* A "champion" Sumoan tree climber racing up and down a palm tree against a chimpanzee (they split 1-1...I forget who the commentator was for this event.)
and my absolute favorite event....
* Four midgets/dwarfs/little people running a 330 yard "relay" against a goddamn camel!!! (The camel "won"). Dan O'Brien provided the commentary for this ridiculous event.
I'm still not sure how I feel about this. The fact that Fox TV would produce such and event astounds me. But then again US television has become (always been?) programming for the lowest common denominator.
I am angered/depressed that this kind of event gets better coverage than the non-existent coverage of the US men's Olympic marathon trials.
Man, we live in a screwed up world!
Bryan Clay and the commentators (especially Lewis and O'Brien) should be ashamed of themselves for stooping to this level of BS. Pathetic.
Oh, and apparently there was a Man vs Beast One that I somehow missed last week. Did they have NFL/NBA/MLB "stars" doing the commentating & competing then?
Hey if they want to put this crap on TV (I know it was a joke) that's OK, but do T&F people need to be associated with it????
The first one was last year. You missed Shawn Crawford racing a giraffe and then a zebra.
This year's race between the little people and the camel was great. The camel was jogging at the end and the anchor little guy was scooting along and walking it down. It was literally a photo finish. One of the best races I have seen in a while.
Next week on Fox.

Love to see Mark Henry("one" of the world's strongest men) wrestle a 500 pound gorilla.
Oooh. That would be a bad idea. Believe it or not, 120 lb chimps are probably stronger than Henry, not to mention 500 lb Gorillas. I think a weight throw of some sort would be a little safer.
it looked like the camel was taunting the little people at the end hehehe. Also camels have a very odd way of their legs moving when they run- i think it was the turn it looked like its legs were flying out all over the place.
They should have Beast vs Beast though i think that would be better- like a cheetah race or hmm yeah like barry said gorilla weight throw or my fav obv pronghorn antelope racing- i read they can do 7 miles in 10 minutes- way way faster than a horse obv(i bring this up every time animal running comes up :-\). Or hmm what animal can jump far a kangaroo obv or a big cat prob. The dog was impressive it can jump super far on those little legs.
