While the men try to repeat, this is uncharted territory for the UO women, who never have finished better than ninth in an NCAA indoor meet.
On paper, they are poised to score in at least nine events.
It will take a team effort, because the Ducks' time in the distance medley relay is their only nation-leading mark.
Brianne Theisen, the reigning NCAA outdoor heptathlon champ, will contend in the pentathlon. Senior Nicole Blood and freshman Jordan Hasay are slotted into two events each -- three if they run legs on the DMR.
"I think we have really good representation across the board," Lananna said, eyeing the women's competition. "I think we look good."
But the Ducks will have their hands full with Texas A&M, Florida and Tennessee. Arkansas also could be a factor, with the Razorbacks competing on their home track.
