Two out of the four on the American Record DMR are from DIII. Represent!
It is a decent early season run; All Star teams don't really excite me (unless the DMR becomes an Olympic event, and it should). What really impresses me is this outdoor time; run by 4 Americans at the same university, way back in the 80's. It may be one of the best performances in collegiate history (yes it was outdoor, but look at those splits) Arkansas got so much crap for having so many foreign athletes, but Johnny Mc in his "hey day" could outcoach anyone!!!!
Distance Medley 9:20.10 Arkansas Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 4/28/89
Reuben Reina 2:53.9, Charles Williams 46.4, Robert Bradley 1:46.0, Joe Falcon 3:53.8
That was one of Falcon's greatest moments. He dusted the world class 3:33 runner Kip Cherouyiot over the last lap in front of a packed house at Franklin field
