I haven't run in them yet, but my initial observations
1)It has the same cushioning material as the Launch and I am afraid that, like the Launch, it may be too mushy, although it doesn't feel as mushy just walking in it, but it is mushy to press on it. I am not sure it will be as responsive as I like in a flat - absorbing shock rather than returning it.
2)It has a wider stance than my other flats. That adds stability without having to add a medial post, but I think this trend in widening shoes for lightweight stability can make them slower as they increase rolling resistance similar to a wider bike tire (my complaint about the Lunar Trainer - the width makes it slow)
3)I also am not sure about the lacing - they have a funky lacing system and tongue that is pretty cool, but the bottom hole is too close to the ankle but the next hole up isn't close enough to the ankle, so it is hard to get a nice fit around the heel without constricting close to the ankle joint. With a thin sock, it is painful.
4) I walked on my mill for a minute in them and they did have a surprising amount of grip on the belt - some shoes are downright slippery on the treadmill belt. Usually shoes that grip the belt well are also good on wet pavement.
I am waiting on a new arch support insert before running in them as my hard cut supports cut into the upper material and I think they would poke a hole in them in short order.
