Going to be announced tomorrow according to his foundations twitter.
I wish Ryan Hall's spring marathon were World XC.
I'm guessing it will be Boston again. If he wins London, it'd be big news in the running world. But if he wins Boston, it'll be headlines across the US.
Meb didn't get much in the way of "headlines across the US". If Hall is to win I don't expect it to be much different. Regardless of the fact that Hall is a native white and Boston is the more famous race.
I am going with Boston since London already announced their elite fields. Is his announcement supposed to be suspenseful because honestly I am not sure who cares much about this.

Dude are you kidding? There were numerous articles about Meb, he was on Letterman for god's sake. Not to mention, right or not, Ryan Hall is white as the new-driven snow and would likely get more publicity.
Im banking on London. It seems the hillier courses hes been struggling with lately. Sure he got third in Boston and only like 5th or 6th in London. But in London he was right there for the most part with the rabbits and contenders until the end...He was still inexperienced in the marathon the last time. This time he will be stronger and more race savvy going into it.
We all know Hall as a tempo runner who can just go the pace and run it like clockwork, but throw hills in his way and his tempo gets a little thrown off
He won the NYC trials, which I believe is hilly but he was just in that great of shape that no one was going t touch him that day.
I hope he jumps in London and is able to run a fast time...
He can run Chicago or NYC in the fall if he wants a US soil race, but start mixing it up internationally again.
O well, either one would be sweet and I will be rooting for him anyways
I don't know exactly what you call "headlines across the country" but Meb got some pretty publicity outside of the running world, and if Hall wins Boston for better or worse it will probably be a bigger story because he is American born.
He's going to run Boston because there is no way he finishes better than 4th in London, but in Boston he will have a shot.
I agree with the above poster.
I wish his spring marathon would be national/world xc and a return to the track for a little while...
i say he picks boston.
i wonder if him or his agent even consider the paris or rotterdam marathon, or another marathon?
2 marathons a year is a 100% certain way to shorten your career. This is even more true if it is Boston and New York because of the difficulty of the course.
2 marathons a year is the minimum expected of any marathoner, and 3 is not unheard of. Meanwhile, the 3rd factor in Hall's favor is he has an easier name to say than Meb.
I am betting on Los Angeles. New course, nearly a hometown race, somewhat low key. Ryan needs a win, and the LA Marathon needs a real "star."
I have a direct line to SATAN, and even SATAN wants Ryan to get back to his winning ways.

If L.A. is a consideration, he and his coach might as well just scan marathonguide.com and pick from anything.

I am sure that they can't afford him.
I'm gonna bet on a darkhorse and go with Tokyo for the ASICS sponsorship and whatnot. They pulled in Rothlin, ASICS' other top white guy, two years ago.

Don't see this happening given Hall means nothing to the Japanese ASICS market and he is much hotter property than Rothlin elsewhere. Plus, the JAAF seem to find it hard enough to swallow seeing Kenyans beating their domestic runners without inviting a ghost-face to mix it up at the front.
Interesting prediction though!

Nope. Hall's on a whole different level than Rothlin.
US marathoners back in running
Keflezighi and Hall are leading a revival
