I run in Asics 2140 and rotate between two pairs. I run about 60 mpw. Normally I change shoes around the 400 mile range.. I'm starting to get thrifty these days and was wondering what would happen if I try to increase the mileage before I buy new shoes?
Would running be more painful and the legs start feeling flat due to the gel losing its effectiveness? My current pairs of shoes are around the 400 mile range and I noticed my PF starting to act up during some runs as well I don't recover as quickly from a run the day before. I can't tell if I'm getting old, having a bad week or if it is the shoes that are causing these problems.
