so it is getting harder to find supernova classics in my size. ive worn them for probably the last 10 years, what is a good replacement, dont really care about brand just what would work close to the same.

try the books defyance. it's neutral and doesn't have a squishy heel which is what i liked about the supernova. the brooks nimbus or cumulus should be work too.
adidas has them in stock and will be going forward with it until mid 2010 when they will bring out the replacement.
whoever said the defyance is wrong. None of those have the fit or feel of the nova classic. To be honest not many shoes do since this was brought out almost 10yrs ago. Narrow midfoot, small posting and a flared forefoot.
Why does Adidas kill shoes that have been around for a decade and have a great following? I can't get Supernova Cushion anymore, either. I'm wearing in a pair of whatever they suggested to replace that, but they're clearly not the same fit nor feel. What a pisser.
Those shoes are only made in the US while the rest of line is found everywhere.
Close to a decade of the same shoe, most brands change them every 12mths.
The cushion is still around, they changed the name to the Glide. This was to avoid confusion with consumers walking in and saying "i wear the cushion..." then the store saying adistar or supernova followed by a blank look.

Supernova Cushion is not gone, it was simply renamed the Supernova Glide. However, when they went from the S'nova Cushion 6 to the 7 they drastically changed the shoe (and not really for the better, IMO). The Glide is a little better than the Cushion 7, but not immensely. For the closest feel (lighter but not truly lightweight, very flexible sole and upper, and a little softer), I would try the Asics Gel-Pulse, or the Brooks Ghost/Launch. Maybe the Saucony Grid Sinister, but that and the launch might be a little too light.
@ the OP - It's a tough shoe to replace. I would consider the Brooks Ravenna, Mizuno Wave Inspire, and (depending on how much support you really need), maybe even the Supernova Sequence 2. I might even consider the 1140 from asics, if you can get your hands on a pair. If you want to go a little lighter, the DS Trainer would probably fit similarly. Good luck... as a shoe buyer for a running store, replacing this shoe has been a nightmare. Post back if you find anything that works well, I bet many are in your same boat (Boston Classic users too).

I've found the DS Trainer to be be the best replacement. FYI, I am female, and there may be enough differences between the male and female versions that what works as a replacement for one gender doesn't for the other.
Damn. I better buy up a bunch of Supernova Classics. That's my shoe.
(No, this is not viral marketing.)
I just tried the replacement for the SN Classic - the Adept. The good news is that the fit is the same - esp the narrow midfoot that makes the SN Classic unusual.
The difference is that the new one is more of a motion control shoe - feels like a brick under my arch, and the heel to toe process isn't as smooth in the new one.
I am having some success with the adizero tempo - it is less shoe than the sn classic, but close enough. Tempo feels faster.
